Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS), the largest provider of pro bono legal services to low-income Marylanders, today announced the election of Ashley Ward to its Board of Directors.
The MVLS Board of Directors provides governance and strategic guidance to support the organization’s mission of connecting Marylanders in need with free civil legal services. Board members play an active role in strengthening partnerships, supporting volunteers, and expanding access to justice across the state.
Ashley Ward is a member at Gordon Feinblatt LLC, where her practice focuses primarily on family law, with additional experience in civil litigation. Throughout her career, Ward has maintained a strong commitment to public service, working with organizations such as House of Ruth, Maryland Legal Aid, and MVLS. She is an active volunteer with the Baltimore Bar Foundation and currently serves on its fundraising committee.
“I have long admired MVLS for its unwavering commitment to expanding access to justice for Marylanders who would otherwise be left without meaningful legal representation,” said Ward. “As a family law practitioner, I regularly see the profound consequences when individuals are unrepresented or under-resourced, and I deeply value MVLS’s role in bridging that gap. I look forward to supporting and advancing this critical work.”
