MVLS Managing Attorney for Consumer and Housing Law, Amy Hennen recently shared some insight with the Maryland State Bar Association Bar Bulletin on why bypassing bankruptcy can be a good option for many clients who qualify. In Amy’s article she highlights other alternatives for attorneys and how they can better assist clients. As Amy points out there are many reasons on why someone should not file for bankruptcy: there may not be enough debt, or too much income, or worse too little income and too many assets. In certain cases, it is in the client’s interest to reject them as a bankruptcy client, but there are other ways attorneys can help.
