Meet Our Volunteer of the Month
We’re proud to recognize Cameron Williams as MVLS’s Volunteer of the Month. Cameron’s commitment to family law and compassionate advocacy truly reflects the spirit of pro bono service.
Why Cameron Volunteers With MVLS
Volunteering with MVLS helped me discover my passion for family law. Although the cases are often complex and emotionally charged, I’ve found the work incredibly rewarding.
Initially, I worked in transactional law and wasn’t sure if direct client interaction was for me. However, my early pro bono cases gave me the confidence to pursue this field. Because of that, I now fully embrace meaningful, client-centered work.
A Recent Case Cameron Is Proud Of
I’m currently handling an uncontested divorce. In this case, the client’s husband was deported shortly after their wedding. Despite being separated for years, both parties chose to end the marriage amicably.
Because our office is bilingual, we were able to support the client through every step. For example, we arranged a remote notary and are now preparing for the hearing. Overall, I’m proud of how we helped the client move forward with dignity.
