Thank you to everyone who attended Celebrate Pro Bono! We are so appreciative of everyone who made this event a huge success. Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, donors, and partners – MVLS could not provide pro bono legal aid to clients without your continued support. Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera, Mayor Catherine E. Pugh, and Thomas Mulinazzi shared their stories about experiences with pro bono work and the impact pro bono has had in clients’ lives. At the event, we had 250 attendees and raised $34,621 in sponsorship and donations, which greatly exceeded our goals and expectations. Baltimore City Biz List has published an article featuring our award recipients as well as details from the event. Click here to read more.
“It was an honor to be among so many professionals who give up their free time to help Marylanders who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to hire an attorney for their civil legal challenges,” commented Mayor Catherine E. Pugh. “I look forward to hearing more about the great work Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Services does for our Maryland communities.”
We would like to congratulate all of our incredible award recipients:
