Each year, Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS) celebrates the dedicated volunteers who make a difference in the lives of individuals and families across Maryland.
This year’s story — Champions of Justice — was featured in the December 19–25, 2025 edition of The Baltimore Times and highlights the powerful impact of over 300 MVLS volunteers. These attorneys, tax professionals, and advocates donated thousands of hours to help people facing legal challenges around housing, family law, estate planning, and more.
Written by Etta Moen, MVLS Volunteer Coordinator, the feature shares moving stories that demonstrate how legal support can stabilize families, protect homes, and restore confidence in people’s futures.
While the article was published in print only, we encourage you to check your copy of The Baltimore Times — or contact MVLS directly to learn more about how our volunteers are making justice accessible to all.
Thank you to everyone who makes this work possible — especially our Champions of Justice.
