Community Partner of the Month | TouchPoint Baltimore

MVLS is proud to recognize TouchPoint Baltimore as our Community Partner of the Month! TouchPoint Baltimore has been a dedicated collaborator in strengthening neighborhoods and building meaningful community connections across Baltimore.

How long have you been in existence, and what is your organization’s mission?

TouchPoint Baltimore has been serving communities since 2016.

Their mission is to nurture collaborations across Baltimore by developing personal connections to ensure everyone is lifted up. At their core, TouchPoint Baltimore strives to empower communities and neighbors, creating spaces where individuals can connect, learn, and thrive together.

What/who/how do you serve your community?

TouchPoint Baltimore leverages social capital to create a network of neighborhood-based collaboration centers developed and funded through business and private partnerships.

They connect with students through partners and area schools, offering mentoring and tutoring, as well as programming that supports and expands students’ interests—chess, drone workshops, music, art, and more.

In collaboration with community leaders, TouchPoint Baltimore also supports broader neighborhood initiatives, including:

  • Improving outdoor meeting spaces
  • Participating in beautification projects
  • Helping address safety and waste-management concerns

Their volunteers include corporate partners, community members, students, and Baltimore natives who generously lend their time to mentor youth, support programming, and participate in community-building efforts. TouchPoint Baltimore deeply values these volunteers for helping create the strong relationships that make their work possible.

Why do you think it’s important to work with a legal services program, like MVLS?

“One of our main initiatives is to connect people to resources they normally wouldn’t have access to—resources that remove barriers and improve their daily lives. MVLS has long helped Baltimore residents navigate legal obstacles that stand in the way of stability, so partnering with MVLS allows us to ensure that more neighbors can access the critical support they need.”
