Celebrate Pro Bono Awardees:
Debbie Devan – Volunteer of the Year
MVLS presents this award to a volunteer lawyer who has contributed the most to our pro bono program through either individual client representation or expansion of the delivery of pro bono legal services. Debbie was selected for her support at our Consumer Protection Clinic and willingness to always take available cases. In addition to the work she has provided to our clients facing consumer issues, Debbie has shared her expertise with others as a Self Help Bankruptcy presenter throughout the year.
Hogan Lovells – Partnership Award
MVLS gives this award to individuals or organizations that have uniquely contributed to the mission of MVLS. The Hogan Lovells firm has diligently supplied volunteer attorneys for numerous Center For Urban Families (CFUF) expungement clinics.
Mulinazzi Law Office – Law Firm of the Year
We give this annual award to the law firm that has provided significant services to MVLS clients either by representing many individuals or using significant firm resources for one client. The Mulinazzi Law Office has done both and was selected because of its representation of family law cases, support at MVLS trainings, willingness to recruit volunteers, and sharing expertise with MVLS for in house family law matters.
William Buschur – Young Lawyer of the Year
This is the first time MVLS has presented this award and we are thrilled to recognize William’s contributions to MVLS. William was selected for this award for his willingness to not only support with numerous expungement matters but also complex IT issues. With his expertise, he helped launch our cyber clinic and have supported many clients during the clinics.
We invite sponsors to partner with us to recognize our amazing volunteers by underwriting the cost of this great event. Sponsorships start at $500 and sponsors are publicly acknowledged for their generosity.
