Advocating for Survivors of Trauma: Practice Tips for Attorneys

This webinar will provide attorneys with an overview of how trauma may impact their clients, including a discussion of common challenges that can arise when advocating for survivors of exploitation and violence. Participants will receive an introduction to the principles of trauma-informed legal advocacy as well as practical tips for working with traumatized clients. Presenters – Jessica Emerson, LMSW, Director of the Human Trafficking Prevention Project at University of Baltimore School of Law, and Heather Heiman, Human Trafficking Prevention Project Coordinator at Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service.   Click here to register.
