The BackPage & CityXGuide Remission Program – Promoting Survivor Access to Compensation

Join the HTPP/MVLS partnership as we welcome Carissa Phelps, attorney and survivor, for a discussion of the Backpage and CityXGuide Remission Program, which offers survivor claimants the opportunity to petition the federal government for recovery for injuries and economic losses resulting from having been trafficked via ads placed on CityXGuide (from 2018-2020) and Backpage (from 2004-2018). Learn about best practices to assist survivors in navigating this process, how to gather required documentation, and what resources are available to assist, including access to pro bono legal help via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
