Third Thursday – Cannabis Expungement Training

With last year’s cannabis referendum and this year’s legislative session, Maryland will see the most significant changes to expungement law since 2016’s Justice Reinvestment Act. MVLS staff attorneys Chris Sweeney and George Townsend will give an overview of these changes, which include new avenues for expunging cannabis charges and the highly anticipated REDEEM Act, which shortens waiting periods for expungement of convictions.
