Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Flex Modification

Training 1 of 2 co-hosted by the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland (PBRC), Mid-Shore Pro Bono, and MVLS. Level – Intermediate – assumes familiarity with basic loss mitigation concepts. Attending this training, or the “Amendments to CFPB RESPA and TILA Mortgage Servicing Regulations” training on Nov. 29 is free, but requires the acceptance of a pro bono case over the next 6 months. 

This training will be given by Diane Cipollone, Esq., a qualified expert on mortgage servicing and mortgage origination matters and consultant to the National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA) where she previously served as Director of Training. Effective October 1, 2017, the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Flex Modification replaced the Standard and Streamlined Modification options. The webinar will cover: 

• Flex Modification Types 
• Eligibility and Ineligibility Criteria 
• Target Modified Principal and Interest Payment 
• Flex Modification Terms 
• Right to Appeal Denial 
• Practice Tips and Links to Guidelines 
• Comparison of Flex and HAMP Features 

The presentation will also briefly discuss loss mitigation options for borrowers whose seriously delinquent loans have been sold by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to private investors.
