Foreclosure and Loss Mitigation in a Post HAMP World

September 14, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

This training is for volunteer attorneys who want to assist low-income homeowners who are at risk of foreclosure. This training will cover the end of the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) and what this means for foreclosure defense strategies, using the CFPB regulations in litigation, and representing clients in reverse mortgage default. MVLS is partnering with the Pro Bono Resource Center (PBRC) in order to provide this training.

In order to attend this training, attorneys must be barred in MD and have completed a foreclosure training with PBRC prior to this training. Attorneys must agree to a pro bono commitment of providing brief advice at two clinics or taking one pro bono case from either MVLS or PBRC within one year of the training.
