Survivors of human trafficking often struggle with debts and negative credit resulting from exploitation, identity theft, unexpected medical debt, and other financial challenges. During this free webinar, presenters will discuss strategies and legal options for addressing different kinds of debt, and detail new protections through the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau that enables trafficking survivors to more easily rebuild their credit.
The Human Trafficking Prevention Project is excited to have Aja’ Mallory, Senior Staff Attorney with the Consumer Protection Project at Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, join as a guest panelist for this event.
