Human Trafficking & the Law: Combatting Misinformation, Aiding in Prevention, & Helping Survivors Heal

This free training will provide participants with an introduction to the crime of human trafficking, address common misconceptions, as well as provide information on the availability of criminal and civil record relief under Maryland law and how these remedies help survivors to heal. After completing this training, service providers will be better suited to identify and make referrals to the HTPP for clients requiring legal services, while interested attorney participants will be given the opportunity to sign up for the MVLS volunteer panel and take HTPP cases!
