The first Human Trafficking Prevention Project attorney training has been highlighted in the Baltimore Sun. This training, which took place in June, was a great success with twenty-seven volunteer attorneys in attendance. HTPP Director Jessica Emerson and HTPP Coordinator Laurie Culkin led the training, informing volunteers of the different forms of remedy and civil legal aid that survivors of human trafficking should seek out. This training also helped to dispel common stereotypes and negative stigmas that surround human trafficking survivors.
