MVLS is excited to announce our new Advance Planning (AP) Project as well as the hiring of John Kern, the AP Project Coordinator. We’re working toward changing the conversation about advance planning and decoding common myths about the process.
Thanks to The Leonard and Helen R. Stulman Charitable Foundation, MVLS now has the ability to really spread the word about why advance planning is so vital to not only families and individuals, but whole communities. In his new role, John is working on raising awareness about why everyone, especially people from low-income backgrounds, needs to be planning ahead with their families and homes in mind. With his past work including everything from being the director of the theater collective Poor Dog Group in Los Angeles to volunteering with Stand Up for Racial Justice here in Baltimore, John has already become an important member of the Team MVLS with plenty of new and exciting ideas to get the word out about advance planning.
