MVLS Creates Virtual-Reality Training Videos

After the Young Lawyers Section of the Maryland State Bar Association funded the purchase of a 360-degree camera, MVLS IT Director Matthew Stubenberg jumped at the chance to use it.  With William Buschur, Stubenberg created virtual-reality training videos that simulate a hearing, enabling attorneys to get a taste of what it’s like inside a courtroom, as well as all of the procedural matters.  MVLS hopes the videos, which focus on criminal record expungement, guardianship, family law and consumer protection, will encourage new attorneys to take a pro bono case.  The videos are available on YouTube, where they can be viewed through a phone with a device like Google Cardboard.

Technical.ly Baltimore recently reported on the videos.  Check out the article here.
