MVLS Volunteer and Nominee Recognized as BCBA Volunteer of the Year

MVLS Volunteer and Nominee Recognized as BCBA Volunteer of the Year

By Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service
Thursday, October 26th, 2017

Laure Ruth, Marty Voelkel Hanssen and Bonnie Sullivan.

MVLS is thrilled to share that our nomination for the Baltimore County Bar Association Pro Bono Awards, Marty Voelkel-Hanssen, was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year. Ms. Voelkel-Hanssen (Law Office of Marty Voelkel-Hanssen) has been a dedicated member of MVLS’ volunteer panel since 1998. MVLS staff attended the Baltimore County Bar Association Pro Bono Awards this week to join in celebrating and recognizing We were so this long-time, dedicated volunteer. In the past twenty years, Marty has closed 63 pro bono cases for MVLS. She has taken on some challenging cases in family law disputes, such as contested divorce and custody matters. Marty Voelkel-Hanssen truly reflects MVLS values in her fierce advocacy for clients and willingness to mentor other volunteers who are new to family law. We are very happy to see such a talented, committed attorney receive this recognition.
