Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS) is proud to see A Taste for Pro Bono featured on WJZ | CBS News Baltimore, highlighting the impact of pro bono service and the role this event plays in expanding access to justice across Maryland.
From helping veterans access the benefits they’ve earned to supporting homeowners in securing clear title to their homes, the work of MVLS and its volunteers goes beyond individual cases. It creates stability, opportunity, and generational change for Maryland families.
In the segment, Jason M. St. John, Managing Partner at Saul Ewing LLP and Chair of the event Host Committee, shared how pro bono service empowers individuals to make a meaningful difference:
“Anyone can make a difference. People don’t always realize they have the skills and experience to really make a difference. MVLS makes it really easy to do that.”
Now in its 45th year, A Taste for Pro Bono brings together supporters, volunteers, and community partners to celebrate the power of pro bono service and the collective effort to expand access to free civil legal help, community engagement, and advocacy for equitable laws.
