Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS) is proud to be featured in the Daily Record for receiving a major grant from the TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable arm of TD Bank. As part of its 2025 Housing for Everyone grant program, the foundation awarded $200,000 to MVLS to support our Tangled Title Program—a vital effort that helps preserve homeownership and generational wealth in Maryland.
MVLS was the only organization in Maryland selected among 36 nonprofits across TD Bank’s East Coast footprint, from Maine to Florida and into Michigan.
This funding will directly support legal services for families facing complex property title issues, many of whom have inherited homes but lack a clear legal title. The Tangled Title Program provides estate planning and legal representation, helping families secure their rightful ownership and access the equity locked in their homes.
