Why Larry Volunteers With MVLS

I have been fortunate to build financial independence through my education, career, and the support of my family. However, I recognize that others are not always as fortunate.

My parents set a strong example of giving back to the community when you are able, and I strive to follow that example. Through MVLS, I am able to use my experience as a tax CPA and estate attorney to help individuals and families build better financial futures for themselves and their heirs.

A Case That Stood Out

While all of the clients I have assisted through MVLS have been incredibly appreciative, one case from last year stands out. I completed a full estate plan for a married couple, including wills, financial and healthcare powers of attorney, advance medical directives, and a life estate deed for their home.

I also guided them in establishing payable-on-death designations for their accounts. Throughout the process, they expressed deep gratitude. It was clear how meaningful it was for them to have peace of mind knowing their estate was in order and that their assets would transfer smoothly to their children.

Larry’s Advice to New Volunteers

I believe I get more out of volunteering than the clients receive from the services. There are many individuals who need legal support but simply cannot afford it.

Volunteering with MVLS is truly a win-win. I encourage all attorneys to give their time. In doing so, you not only help others, but also continue a legacy of service—something I am proud to pass on to my children.
