What it is
MVLS’s Consumer Protection Clinic connects volunteer attorneys with Maryland consumers facing debt collection cases in District Court. Volunteers provide one-on-one brief advice, review pleadings, identify potential defenses, and negotiate settlements to help clients avoid default judgments and wage garnishment.
