ABOUT US
The Workforce Development Program is aimed at removing barriers to employment through the delivery of legal services to job trainees, community engagement and advocacy for equitable laws. We promote economic mobility and community empowerment through partnerships with workforce training sites.
VOLUNTEER WITH US
Volunteers expand our ability to serve the community and reduce the long-term impacts of incarceration and criminal records. Volunteers may assist with expungement clinics, workshops, support outreach and community engagement, serve as a mentor, or take a case. MVLS provides volunteers with the necessary training and materials to be successful. Get started here.
PARTNER WITH US
We collaborate with organizations committed to enhancing equity, legal access, and community development. Ideal partners include workforce agencies, job training providers, community nonprofits, advocacy groups, reentry programs, and legal organizations. Partnership opportunities include co-hosting clinics, co-hosting workshops, offering training or certification programs, providing space for events, and supporting second chance hiring initiatives.

REQUEST A PRESENTATION
We offer educational presentations about our program, understanding expungements, eligibility under state law, and the expungement process. These presentations can be offered either in-person or virtually, depending on your needs.
REQUEST A WORKSHOP
Our Say “Pro Se” Expungement Workshops are designed to empower individuals with practical guidance on navigating the expungement process. The goal is to help participants understand their eligibility, conduct basic case analysis, and gain clarity on the steps involved in seeking criminal record relief. Through these workshops, participants will be equipped with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to complete and file their expungement petitions accurately—either independently or, if time, space, and technology permits, during the workshop session. .
REQUEST A CLINIC
Our clinics provide direct, on-site legal and workforce support. Clinic services may include expungement eligibility screenings, criminal record reviews, petition preparation, and access to legal professionals and trained volunteers. Please note that clinic requests should be made at least three (3) months in advance and are not guaranteed.
REQUEST MATERIALS
If you are looking to request general expungement information/resources to provide for your organization or community members.
